Without doubt the trio „BALALAIKA NUEVA“ is an exciting discovery – a pearl in the world of modern folk music. The three musicians nurture the traditional and modern as well as the classics and jazz.

In their performance „A Piece of Sky“ they combine the works of Astor Piazzolla, Antonio Carlos Jobim and the fascinating arrangements of old Russian folk music.

Alexander Paperny is one of the most famous balalaika musicians in Western Europe. Genial virtuoso and temperament merge into an unusual combination. He carries you away into a magical world of sounds on his three stringed instrument. He was trained in Moscow as a soloist and conductor. His breathtaking balalaika playing conquered many countries.

Natascha Boettcher made a name for herself as an outstanding soloist and Ensemble player on the accordion in many varying musical productions („Balagan“ – Fliegende Bauten; Andre Eisermann „Die Show“; Schmidt-Theater ).
Guido Jaeger studied at the Musikhochschule in Lübeck. He has given many concerts in the United States and all over Europe. Since 1995 he works together with Giora Feidman in concerts, television appearances and CD - productions, partly as a composer. Member in the GIORA FEIDMAN TRIO.
